This form is:

  • For permanent services/sites ONLY.

  • For micro-generation (MG) projects under 5 MW.

This form is NOT:

  • For temporary, construction/SAW service sites, or an enrolled site waiting for energization

  • For small scale generators, If there are any questions about small scale generation, please contact DERconnect@enmax.com

Things to know before you start:

  • For micro-generation (MG) sizing, use 12 months of the site’s consumption history to determine the target production (in kWh). This information is available on the customer’s power bill or through their retailer. The annual production amount for the proposed generator must not exceed the site’s consumption requirements to qualify as a micro-generator.

Required documents

Single Line Diagram (SLD)

Required information on SLD:

Indicate all voltage levels, disconnect ratings (amps) and equipment sizes

Customer’s main panel (or switchgear)

Revenue Meter (include CTs and PT where applicable)

Main breaker (or disconnect)

PV breaker(s)

Indicate all solar panels and inverters, and their ratings

All other generation on site (including backup)

Interconnection transformers on the customer’s site (size and winding configurations: eg. Y-G (DER side) – Delta (utility side)) – common in commercial and industrial sites

Large micro-generation notice applications (greater than or equal to 150 kilowatts) will require a single-line diagram stamped by a professional as designated by The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) or The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET).

  • Manufacturer’s spec sheet(s) for the inverters

  • Manufacturer’s spec sheet(s) for the solar panels

  • Site Plan (must include address, facility, North arrow, and solar panel array)

All required documents must be uploaded to complete this application
